We had THE BEST time this past weekend facilitating a direct animation workshop with the lovely folks at Laredo Film Society! Participants learned about celluloid, the history of direct animated films, various animation and abstraction techniques (some invented their own!), and spliced their films onto the projection reel! I was truly blown away by the films that were created in the workshop and watching them all together with a live score by Frecuencia Chamán was the 🍒on top!
