Volunteers have been a crucial component of ENTRE’s programming and offerings these last few years. Without their help, we would not be able to provide resources and experiences to communities across the Rio Grande Valley. As we continue to grow our network and offerings, capacity becomes a very real issue. In order to provide our communities with intentional, robust and quality programming, we must train folks to support and/or lead various projects and programs.
There are a number of roles and skillsets that go into making our offerings unique and of quality. We believe that the more diverse the minds and experiences behind these offerings, the more engaging and impactful they can be! We are looking for folks from all walks of life, who wish to share their passion for cinema, community and who dream of a better future for our region!
📽️ Have you ever wanted to be a part of our programming team, curating the films we screen?
📼 Or maybe you are interested in learning more about the archive and working with our audio/visual collection
🤝🏾🌱 Do you have ideas for how we can engage our membership or want to help tend to our native plant garden?
Learn more about these roles and more by watching our Volunteer Info Session video
After watching the video, you can fill out the Volunteer Interest Form to select what roles you are interested in and skills you have and/or want to acquire! We will be in contact with you once we review submissions, and share what programs and/or projects we have coming up that you can help us with. Volunteer Interest Form reviews will happen on a rolling basis, so you can sign up whenever you want!
ENTRE was founded on the principles of skill-sharing, collaboration and accountability. Our dream is to see how a volunteer can evolve into a contractor, part-time employee, and perhaps even a future Worker-Owner. We want to highlight that although the volunteer role is an unpaid position, it provides many perks and resources such as free membership and discounted gear rentals, and a community of folks who will support and uplift you along the way.
It can also lead to paid collaborative roles as well as more responsibility and leadership within the organization. This is how we envision sustaining ENTRE, especially as our Worker-Owners reach the end of their terms (more on that in a future blog post!). We are always thinking of the future, and how the seeds we sow now, will be able to be enjoyed for many years to come.
If you love what we're doing and want to find your place in the ENTRE ecosystem, consider volunteering!
